CrossOver Games System Requirements
Mac Version
- Intel-based Macintosh system running Mac OS X (note: CrossOver Games will not run on PowerPC systems)
- 120 MB of free disk space
- CrossOver will run fine on both Tiger and Leopard versions of Mac OS X.
- Some low end Mac systems with built in Video chip sets may not be able to play high performance first person games at full frame rates.
Linux Version
- x86 compatible PC system, 200 MHz or higher
- Linux distribution (32 bit, or 64 bit with 32 bit compatibility library installed)
Tested on- Ubuntu 8.04/8.10
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 4 and 5 (1)
- openSUSE 10.2, 11.0
- Fedora Core 9 and 10 (2)
- Debian Etch and Lenny
(1) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 uses a form of SELinux that does not allow CrossOver to function properly by default. Their default tool will allow you to customize permissions to allow it to work, however.
(2) Fedora Core has a range of experimental technologies that often break Wine, and therefore CrossOver. You will likely have to change your system in order to get CrossOver to work, particularly on 64 bit systems.
You should be able to run this on a variety of other distributions, particularly older versions of the distributions listed here. However, our ability to test and support older or other configurations is somewhat limited.
- Glibc 2.3.x or greater
- XFree86 >= 4.3 with XRender and GLX support
- 150 MB of free disk space, and space for games
