CODEWEAVERS RELEASES UPDATED VERSIONS OF CROSSOVER MAC AND CROSSOVER LINUX
Release of CrossOver Mac 6.1 and CrossOver Linux 6.1 extends Outlook support, improves 3D game performance

SAINT PAUL, Minn. (May 15, 2007) — CodeWeavers, Inc., a leading developer of software products that turn Mac OS X and Linux into Windows-compatible operating systems, today announced the release of CrossOver Mac 6.1 and CrossOver Linux 6.1, both available for purchase on May 15, 2007. CodeWeavers debuted the widely acclaimed CrossOver Mac and CrossOver Linux this past January.

“CrossOver Mac is an incredibly slick and easy-to-use solution to the dilemma of how to run Windows software on your Mac,” said Ronald Gehrmann, an Apple Certified Consultant from New York, NY. “Its ability to sidestep the whole Windows environment with all of its accompanying issues and vulnerabilities is wonderful.” The new 6.1 versions add the ability for Outlook users to work remotely using RPC over HTTP. In addition, both CrossOver Mac 6.1 and CrossOver Linux 6.1 will improve windows 3D game performance. “We’ve made some noticeable gains in our game support. We already ran World of Warcraft and Half-Life 2, but we’ve now improved our speed and frame rates, as well as adding support for other important titles like Call of Duty 2,” said Jeremy White, CodeWeavers’ Chief Executive Officer.

Popular windows applications supported by CrossOver Mac 6.1 include Microsoft Office (including native Outlook Exchange Server connectivity), Visio and Project; Intuit Quicken and QuickBooks, and Half-Life 2.

Popular windows applications supported by CrossOver Linux 6.1 include Microsoft Office, Outlook, Visio, and Internet Explorer; Adobe's Photoshop, Macromedia's Dreamweaver, Intuit's Quicken and QuickBooks, and Lotus Notes. Games supported include World of Warcraft and Call of Duty 2.

CrossOver Mac is priced at roughly one-quarter the cost of a Windows license, allowing Mac users to economically and legally circumvent the need for Windows. The updated versions of CrossOver for Mac and Linux are available online at www.codeweavers.com and in many retail outlets in North America, via distribution through Navarre, Douglas Stewart Co., Atlantia, and others.

A Japanese version of these products will be available in Japan on June 1, 2007.
