Mostly we code...sometimes we write. Every once in a while, we podcast.

Employee Spotlight — Andrew Eikum

He’s a Wine Developer who specializes in audio and video. He despises obligatory gift giving and waiting in lines. Podcasts, coffee and seeing diversity in the Twin Cities are small things that make his day better. If he had to give a 40-minute presentation on anything without any preparation it would be on Nintendo's home console business from the 1980s through the 1990s. The most fun way he has been injured is also the dumbest way he has been injured. Introducing Andrew Eikum—if he had to eat a worm he would Sautee it in butter with onion and garlic.

Name: Andrew Eikum

Birthplace: Saint Paul, MN

Currently Lives: Saint Paul, MN

In his own words: I've worked at CodeWeavers for nearly 9 years. I have an easy time remembering this: I changed jobs shortly after Michael Jackson died. Programming was always a hobby for me when I was growing up. I designed and wrote websites for high school garage bands, and created the first halves of countless video games. The games I'm most proud of were two homebrew games for the PlayStation Portable that I wrote in my last year of high school, one of which won me a prize in a contest.

Since getting a job as a programmer, it's no longer fun for me as a hobby. These days I'm into hand tool woodworking, cheesemaking, cooking, beer-making, and, of course, video games.
