Angel Writer is a free text editor allowing you to create impressive documents that contain formatted text, graphics and tables. You can learn how to work with Angel Writer in five minutes since it is very similar to Microsoft Word. Comfortable interface, small size and high performance, rich features for editing text and creating documents in various formats (TXT, RTF, HTML), change text fonts and color, insert images, work with tables and use hyperlinks.
I think this program is a little gem. You can do just about anything you do with Word, including embedded photos and hypertext. I was looking for an RTF editor to try to resolve a problem with another application. I tested a dozen or so (including Microsoft's own Wordpad) and all had some bizarre behavior or other, or wouldn't run at all. This program seems to work perfectly.
Continues to perform as expected on Mac 10.6.7 running CrossOver 10.0.1 Pro.
