DESCRIPTION
Ares is a popular P2P client and network for Windows with plenty of content. It also features a BitTorrent client. It is advisable that you watch what you download, as a lot of copyrighted material that is shared illegally is on the network.
COMPATIBILITY
This application loads in Ubuntu Feisty, but often needs to be reinstalled to get it to load. Also when downloading files they seem to corrupt, something that does not happen on Windows. Also the built in media player appears not to work.
LINUX ALTERNATIVES
A good alternative P2P client for people who wish to share [legal, of course!] files is Frostwire. While it's based on Limewire and connects to the Gnutella network, there are fewer fake files and viruses when connecting with Frostwire.
