Azimuth directions given in ACL V6.7

I find it interesting that on typing a callsign into ACL that the Azimuth shows, this is good but not accurate, I typed in Brazil for instance and was given an Azimuth direction of NNE. For my at my QTH in VK4, Brazil is 105 to 155 degrees depending on the area of Brazil, so why would I get NNE? Does the software know something that I don't about the DX location, is the signal doing strange things? Long path and short path directiuons?
NNE for me is short path to USA & Canada or a long path to Africa, I know propagation can do strange things, so is this calculated by ACL and the direction given as a result, or is it an error?

Thanks
VK4KX, Bernie
