Dreamweaver CS3 install attempt failed on Jscript

So, I created an XP bottle for this, but am getting a Jscript missing error. Anyone have an idea what that is, or what a solution would be? I'm going to try installing IE6 in that bottle and see if it helps.

Well, installing IE6 may have gotten me past the Jscript error, but then the installation died at some other point--I'm not very good at deciphering the logs. Not sure what to try next.

I checked the bottle and do not even see a directory for Adobe. I looked in Application data, nothing...program files? nothing. It would appear that the files are just not writing to the bottle.

Question - what 'service pack' is the winxp bottle? Does it provide the support for SP2?

Tracked this down from Adobe's website:

On Windows Vista32:

  1. Choose Start > All Programs > Accessories.
  2. Right-click the Command icon, choose Run As Administrator, and authenticate.
  3. Navigate to Windows\System32.
  4. At the prompt, type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter.
  5. When a dialog box with the message "DllRegisterServer in jscript.dll succeeded" appears,

It only happens on Windows Vista, how can we correct a JScript register problem?

It's been a while since I worked on this, but I am going to try to add the jscript.dll file to the bottle I am installing Dreamweaver in. Time to see if it will ask for another one.
