I don't have this devenum.dll, I'll install it and try again to see if that changes something. But as you say, before the last patch I was able to run Aion.
I was using the Fyyre's files to do so.

This is a rather odd bug because when i made a fresh install then followed my tip steps, the only problem i had was a permissions problem. all i had to do was change the permissions.
and then the game ran. this may be different for mac. but again i don't think i can do allot until get my copy of osx which is at 58% downloaded.
so im not sure what to do until then.
what programs do you have installed on the bottle your using?
ok with a fresh install of cxgames,
i added these programs to the bottle to get it to work
crossover html engine
windows installer 2.0 redist
directx runtime (downloaded)
core fonts
and i placed xinput1_3.dll to windows/system32
and then made the aion.exe and used the extensions. then it ran.
lets see if you need something a little extra.
also did you do this?
On Mac OS X write into terminal:
sudo pico /etc/launchd.conf
and add there a line:
limit maxfiles 8192
Save files and reboot to make changes go in effects. Confirm if it works by writing into terminal:
ulimit -n
Until now I did not launch Aion within a bottle, but I'll try it, following your steps, and keep you up.
I changed the limit maxfiles yes.
I'll keep you updated tonight, and thanks a lot for you help so far !
No luck so far...
I tried to run it from a bottle, but same result (oreans.vxd driver problem).
I'm redoing a fresh install from start, and try again. But I think that I'll have to take the screwdriver, open my mac, take out my actual ssd drive (which cannot boot on bootcamp :'(), and put back the old drive, with bootcamp on it...
Well, I'll try again before, I'd prefer not to change drives of course !
yeah im not exactly sure how to help you on this one.
which is why i have asked the other advocates for help and i think
paulthetall

said he could help. so lets see where that goes
Hi, so far no luck for me too.
Can you describe the step to create our own .exe please ?
I'm trying a fresh install. Also I must mention that I'm only using wine and winetricks from macport to 'try' to launch this game.
all you goto do to make the exe is copy /bin32/aion.bin to desktop rename it to aion.exe and your done.
lol its rather simple XD
just move it back to bin32
Hmm.. I know it works for many people but it's for official servers and the game wasn't release in my country yet so I'm sticking with private servers now and the one I play on now has a launcher so via this method I can't run my server ...... Any solutions please?
Sorry for some English mistakes I'm Swiss..
Hiho guys,
New to all this crossover and wine stuff and really trying my best to get Aion running. I followed all the steps that Oskar wrote out. I even used the sudo command. Unfortunately, my issue is just like Jacqueline's in where it tells me "Cannot find ...."
The file is there, just like Jacqueline stated in her posts and I also tried just placing the .exe into the Aion folder not the bin32 folder but then I get the oreans.vxd error which is due to the GG call. I then attempted to download the file as Oskar stated, http://www.mediafire.com/?2idakmmengj and place it into the aion folder as well.
Unfortunately, Oskar doesn't go into detail of what command to write in terminal, so I tried the regular win ~/.wine...Aion/StartAionNA.exe and below is what I get:
fixme:menubuilder:SaveIconResAsXPM Unsupported color depth 32-bit
fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100
Z:\Users\username>start bin32\aion.bin -ip:206.127.153.247 -port:2106 -cc:1 -noauthgg -lang:enu -noweb
fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100
Application could not be started, or no application associated with the specified file.
ShellExecuteEx failed: Path not found
Z:\Users\username>GOTO end
Z:\Users\username>ping localhost -n 5
File not found
Z:\Users\username>EXIT
username-macbook:~ username$
I know many of you are probably tired of this issue by now, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction if I somehow got off it in the wrong place? I'm really greatful to all those are currently trying their best to make this work and all the steps and assistance those that are contributing.

UPDATE:
After deciding to just make my own .exe as fox suggested, if I run the regular CMD that was given in the first post: wine ~/.wine... /Aion/bin32/Aion.exe
It still gives me the oreans.vxd error. I do have other CMD's such as -noauthgg but still nothing yet to this point. I am able to play it on my bootcamp partition which is fine by me, but I do have a good friend that is unable to install WINDOWS on her bootcamp partition due to a fried optical drive in her iMac. Plus, I wouldn't mind starting it upon my Macbook either but looks like barriers keep knocking me down here.
Aion starts running, but i still get stuck at the Aion logo.
Its the oreans driver problem.
Has there any solution been found yet?
