Problems with Arcanum

I'm having problems getting this installed - getting a pop up with

"Access violation at address 0040EC22" in module 'setup_arcanum_2.0.0.15.exe" Write of address 00400000.

This was from a version installed from GOG.com.

Any tips? This is with a recent version of Crossover.
