Crash after Menu

I have a MacBook Pro running OSX 10.7.4 with a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. I am not sure what kind of video card I have but there are no issues running other games such as LOTR online. I was able to successfully download the game (after some finagling) however after I create a profile and select 'New' to start the game it crashes. Any suggestions?
