How to Install Red Alert 3!
  1. Make a separate bottle for Red Alert 3 since this will break other games.

  2. Install Red Alert 3 from the CD.

  3. Now the game requires that you register the game with the DVD, after that you can go no CD. But people have been running into trouble with it so I'm gonna find a fix to evade registration.

  4. Select run from the program files and select the Red Alert 3 bottle and run "regedit"

  5. Set "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/useGLSL" to "enabled"

  6. Create new String Value in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/" called it "offscreenRenderingMode " and set the value to "fbo"

  7. Restart Crossover Games

  8. Run "winecfg" like you did for "regedit" and go to the Graphics tab and select emulate virtual desktop and set to preferred resolution.

  9. Enjoy!

Note: I found this from a blog with screenshots but I haven't tried it. I have a feeling it works.

i did all of this and when i tried to install the ea download Manager.. this teal screen came up and never went away after the loading bars finished. then if i quit that and did the rest of the steps i still get the connection to server error please help.

Has anyone tried this and gotten the game to run?

Mmmm man i tried this and it still doesn't work D= still gives me the same problem, any idea?

i can get it to where it runs but my screen is just black but has sound and can skip past the intro movie. Interestingly enough when it gets to the menu i can see the mouse just no background
