To get it to run, as with many games, it is necessary to install a NoCD patch. However, the only one I could find was in the form of an exe that patched the existing game exe, not an already cracked exe. I couldn't get the patcher to run in Crossover Games and had to patch the game from an actual Windows install, then move it back to the WINE bottle. After that, the game runs just fine.
