Is it possible to install patches (i.e. Hi res patch) for Fallout (or any game I suppose) with CX games? I read that it was in one of the other forums, but I can't seem to get it to work for me.

Of course it's possible, since it's a Windows emulation layer. Whatever is possible under Windows should be possible under CXG too (well, at least in theory... :)).
I have personally tried some of the hi-res patches with the GOG.com version of Fallout, they kinda worked but there were some issues I don't quite recall now so I just reverted to the original version and didn't bother anymore... If I remember well, I was having some problems with the rendering speed, the screen redraws became excruciatingly slow with the patch. I'm not sure whether that was a CXG bug or a problem with the GOG.com version though.
