Just installed the cd retail version with 14.03. The game screen just blinks then exits to desktop right away.
Do you have any hints on solving that? I'm using the latest ATI beta driver.

This is a questionable game behavior that triggers a bug in the kernel: https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=33275 . The kernel bug was fixed in 3.18-rc3 according to the bug report.
Thanks for the answer Stefan. Indeed, it is a kernel bug confirmed and fixed upstream. However, the steam version is affected as well.
Maybe the ticket in wine app db needs to be updated accordingly ?
