This refers to the original 5 CD release of FarCry, should also be
relevant for the DVD release as well...the Steam version is bound
to be different..
All working fine, thanks to some clues over at WineHQ...however...the
various official FarCry patches seem not to apply cleanly/at all, so
currently it seems we're stuck at the original version release of 1.0....
That said, I do have a support ticket open on the failure to be able
to apply/install the official patches, so if anything gets resolved in
that regard, I'll post to this forum....if you would like to also add
to the support ticket on this issue regarding the inability to apply
the official FarCry patches, see the support ticket ...;
...and add your comments there.
Regarding getting this to run, see the tips&tricks section for all
the details....
