This works after copying the game files installed in windows partition over to linux (steam version) and then running the steam client from linux itself.
Occasional stuttering gets in the way of maxing out the graphics options.
Had an issue at one point where the mouse stopped responding during gameplay, but worked fine after exiting to the ingame menu. When going back in to the game the mouse stopped working again. Restart of game needed at this point.
Ironically, the reason I installed this on linux is because the game stopped working at a certain point on my windows system!!!
System used: Geforce 9800 GTX+ 512MB, 8 GB system RAM, AMD Phenom II X4 960T 3 GHZ, Ubuntu 11.10 (with KXStudio running Jack as sound server).
