In case anyone was interested, I am going to begin some CrossOver Games testing on Ubuntu 12.04 using my System76 laptop.
I'm starting with HL2DM, as a co-worker is working on some maps in his spare time, and I wanted to test them out after-hours at work.
I'll post back here about how it runs and I hope to provide more testing results (and solutions, where possible) in this setup.
For reference, my build:
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64 bit
Intel HD Graphics 4000
3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3610QM Processor ( 2.30GHz 6MB L3 Cache - 4 Cores plus Hyperthreading )
4 GB DDR3 SDRAM at 1600MHz - 1 X 4 GB
500 GB 7200 RPM SATA Hybrid Hard Drive with 4 GB SSD
It's a little weak in the graphics department, but we'll see how it goes.
