ITunes /Ubuntu 6.06 LTS - Songs Will Not Play / No Sound

Hello,

I am VERY new to the Linux environment, and have installed CrossOver Standard.
The installation of ITunes went fine. However, when I click to play a song, nothing happens - the time
remains at '0:00'.

I have read the FAQ and googled fixes for this, but have had no success. I am using ALSA 1.0 and have performed the steps in the Sound FAQ (Setting driver, making sure I have correct permissions). There are no
other processes, that I can see, that would be using sound.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
