Debugger detection

Although I wasn't aware of a linux version (I shall try that one), the windows version under CXOFFICE 5.0 seems to detect a debugger. I run the install but once installed the program will not start up, rather it issues a message "Debugger detected. Close debugger and restart." I have seen this problem elsewhere (Rise of Nations) and I am not sure how to correct the problem. Has anyone else experienced this problem?

~ here is a nice Linux CD-Rom installer native to linux. The download is only for the USA version and is a 15MB download...
