Access 2007 and External Data (Excel, CSV, etc)

Hi.
We're trialling the CrossOver program to run Access 2007 on our Mac OS Sierra.
It works and we're very happy.
However, the import of Excel files from our Mac desktop into Access 2007 does nothing.
I've tried all options such as a Link or even saving the files into the CrossOver desktop environment and again we cannot see any new tables when importing.
I am able to run Excel inside CrossOver and open the files, but when I SAVE-AS from there back into the desktop and try and importing in Access, nothing happens.
Is this a known limitation of Access 2007 inside CrossOver?
