Exchange 2003

Hi, I have installed the latest beta Mac release. I then set a Win98 bottle, installed IE6, Office 2K and SP3. Word, IE (a little slow) and Excel work great but i cannot get Outlook to connect to Exchange. When you login it just hangs and the Exchange (SBS 2K3) machine lists an inccorrect password attempt for the username in the event log. First question has anybody connected Oulook 2K to an SBS 2K3 server running Exchange 2K3 SP2 and it work? I have looked at NTMLv1 and i 'think' it will accpet v1 or v2 requests by the GPO settings, but i am not sure. To Theodore, how did you set NTMLv1? I have tried the /etc/hosts but cannot see it makes any difference. If anyone can help i would be eternally gratefull, i am 2/3rds there.

Cheers, David

David,

I have admin rights on our Active Directory domain, that is a pre-req before you can make the change.

Go into the AD manager on the PDC and under the security policies hierarchy you can alter the level of authentication. I dont have the exact set of steps in front of me but can locate it if you need that.

Ted
