Microsoft Project 2007 Forum

Stolen from the Visio 2007 forum. It works for me well under CO 8.0.0.

1. Create a new blank Windows XP bottle

2. Install Microsoft XML Parser (MSXML) 3.0 Service Pack 5 (SP5) into the bottle (msxml3.msi, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=4a3ad088-a893-4f0b-a932-5e024e74519f&displaylang=en)

3. Install Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0 into the bottle (msxml6.msi, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=993c0bcf-3bcf-4009-be21-27e85e1857b1&displaylang=en)

4. Install Microsoft .NET Framework Version 1.1 Redistributable Package (dotnetfx.exe, http://www.microsoft.com/Downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=262D25E3-F589-4842-8157-034D1E7CF3A3&displaylang=en)

5. Finally start the Project 2007 install

It works for me as well. CO 8.0.0

I was able to install Project 2007 in version 9 in a WinXP bottle, using the built-in CrossOver packages for:

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1
Microsoft XML Parser 3.0
Microsoft XML Parser 6.0

I found that I needed all these components before the MS Project 2007 installation would run successfully.

Thanks for getting this working, I tested it and also had success under CX9.

I saw this post and so created a C4P file for Project 2007. Now you should be able to install all the dependencies and the applications simply from downloading the C4P.

I hope that makes things even easier. If you have problems just tell me.
