This game works nearly perfect with MouseWarpOverride (force) turned on in the registries. The only problem is, well, that this disables the mouse in the menu... a small price to pay.

Try setting MouseWarpOverride to "force_edge" instead. That may allow the use of the mouse in the menus.
That throws off the aiming slightly, and I already tried it, but thanks for your recommendation.
