After upgrading to cog 9.1 I have no sound in this game. It worked using 9.0. The openAL files are still in their place.

Bit more info please (I just tried the Steam version in linux and it all seems
fine)....what platform/OS{version} you using? Which release of Osmos? (Steam,
standalone, direct2drive etc)...

edit: I forgot to mention, I -think- openal support (proper) should have been
added in 9.1, so it's entirely possible you don't need the openal workaround
at all anymore --- that said, I did touch my current install...

I use Kubuntu 10.04, Steam Version of Osmos. Other Games do have sound.

I just installed Osmos in a new clean bottle without the openal workaround - no sound.

Just tried in on the Mac and it works there too -- best you submit
a support ticket (or email info@codeweavers.com) about this -- it may
be a (K)ubuntu 10.04 related issue.

Hi again,

With some other titles, users of U10.04 based distros report the sounds issues
they're having were sorted by setting the "hardware acceleration" value in the
audio tab of wine configurator to 'Emulated'....does that help with here Osmos?

I now tried different settings (Emulated/Full) in the Audio tab without luck.
I also tried these settings with and without the old fix applied - no luck.

Ok then...that is strange - just checked it again here in Mac&linux and it's
fine....I do suppose you've tried reinstalling it?
