The program installs correctly and runs smooth but there are some things that do not work correctly like the new project wizard that freezes every time I open it. In order to test the rest of the functions I had to open an already made project.
-able to load projects
-able to load .c and .h docs
-The code editor works perfectly
-The build & compile functions work fine
-The .hex file is created correctly
What does not work:
-The new project wizard
-The animation on the menu is sometimes laggy and is not as beautiful as in windows but it works.
After some testing i found out that the program was not crashing when opening the new project wizard :D it only could not show the dialog box :S I was not noticing that the dialog was behind the program window :S So now the only problem is that the menus do not look as nice as in windows but the program is totally functional, sometimes it does weird things like dissapear from the screen but it comes back after a second.
I will not upgrade to gold yet because i still need to test some other stuff like actually programming the .hex file on a PIC.
The program works just like in windows, I already compilled and programmed a PIC18F4620 with the main.hex file. It works great :D Thank you crossover :D I hope this will be useful for other people ( even when not many electronic engineers use mac) :P
We're rebels. We're misfits. But mostly, we're software liberators. And we're very, very good at what we do. We have to be. Lots of developers work with open source, but only a tiny fraction of those are good enough to get software that was designed for one platform to work on another one. We invented CrossOver software - a unique approach to cross-platform compatibility that does not require dual-boot or another OS license. We launched PortJump to help app and game developers broaden their market beyond Windows® users. And we launched ExecMode to help organizations solve really ugly technical challenges.
