Quicken 2011 input bugs

When entering data in a split transaction, the first line works normally. The second and later lines have a bug where the numbers field automatically backspaces over entered digits and in effect only allows a single digit to be entered. Work-around is to use the in-line calculator to enter 1 * xx, that way a 2-digit number can be entered. It's very cumbersome and slow.

Any similar experience and any tips to resolve this?
