In windows XP, I can use the "scanner" button in Quicken when importing a document into a transaction or statement record. The scanner I have (HP4070) works in Linux using SANE, but when I press on the "Scanner" button in quicken when running from CrossOver, I get nothing. Is there anything special I need to do? I used the CrossTie for Quicken 2013 to create the bottle and install Quicken 2013.
OK, I discovered (because I can't get sound) that I needed to install the ia32-libs for my UBUNTU installation. I have done that (still don't have sound), now the scanner button hangs for a little while then crashes.
Sound problem may be fixed by installing libasound2:i386 :
sudo apt-get install libasound2:i386Scanner problem may be fixed by installing libsane:i386:
sudo apt-get install libsane:i386Thanks. Both were installed as part of the ia32-lib command. With the sounds, it is interesting that the "Test Sound" works, but the sound in quicken doesn't.
I see that it uses/requires .NET 2.0. Some of the .NET stuff that I came accross (mostly launchers) were not able to play sounds (they did on Windows) when run with CrossOver. So, there's a possible explanation... :/
