Quicken 2013: After sleep/wake, I get a 2nd instance of Quicken and the first one becomes unresponsive

When I initially run Quicken 2013 with CrossOver, everything works fine. However, at some point (and I think it's after I close the lid on my MacBook and open it back up again), clicking on the "Q" in the dock creates a second icon and opens a second window. The first window is unresponsive and I am unable to kill it from right-clicking on the icon in the dock or by clicking the close button on its window.

The second instance seems to work fine.

Anybody know why this happens?
