How to apply the mondo patch update

Download the Quicken 2014 mondo patch manually from
http://www.quicken.com/quicken-2014-windows-release-notes-updates-and-mondo-patch

Once you have the patch file downloaded do an unknown app install of the patch

The key is to click the Select Bottle tab and choose your existing Quicken bottle. Otherwise the patcher won't find the Quicken files it needs and fail out with an error.
