Can't Patch and 'Failed to Connect'

I've used the auto installer found on codeweavers website, and through Richard's guide. However, the patcher automatically jumps to 4/4 patch_allow.txt and will not let me click on 'Start'. When using the command line patcher bypass, after entering login ID and pass the game says "failed to connect". It's as if it can't get access to the internet or something.

Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this? =(

There was a serious problem with IRO's servers earlier this week that prevented anyone from playing. Have you tried playing since then?
