Crash When Attempting Multiplayer (GoG Version)

I recently purchased Sacrifice on GoG.com. Works fine in single player campaign under Crossover 9.2 on a MacBook Pro, but when trying to set up a multiplayer match for skirmish play against AI, game crashes immediately after the character select screen. Anyone having a similar issue?
