Looks good till the install, now realised I can't play it because I don't have a code!

It's free to play just ignore that portion.

I had the exact same problem after starting the game. Cryptic sends you an email with a 5 digit number you have to enter. Luckily I had played on my iMac and could check my hotmail on my Macbook Pro. It's like a security code Blizzard's Battlenet uses on a mobile app. By the time I had logged in and opened my email account I was already timed out of the game, but after relogging I could still use the same code. Unlike the Battlenet app where a code is only visible for a minute or so.

I just wonder if on the PC you need to Alt-Tab and go to your browser to check your email.
