Anyone tried buying this game from Steam?
Just wondering if anyone had tried buying this game from Steam and seeing if it works.
Far as I can see game works perfectly except for the copy protection using the Lucasart CD.
Since Steam downloads the content and has no CD theoretically it should work fine.
I already own a copy so don't wish to buy the game again to test.
A no-cd patch should get around the CD issue (if you're
the kind of person with no objections to using that route ;)
Yea thats how I play the game atm. I would prefere to no use one tbh. I was just wondering if the Steam Version runs ok (obviously it should not need a no cd to run)
The Digital Rights Management (DRM) software in this program
prevents it from running in CrossOver. If you are in a legal jurisdiction
which allows removal of such software, you may have luck running this
program. Unfortunately, CodeWeavers, because they are subject to the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act, will be unable to support you.
I ended up buying the Steam version so I could play LAN games against my kids. Steam version works with no issues and obviously no CD issues. Only some background graphics missing in menus but otherwise all is good.
