You need to edit the registry https://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/mac/mactutorial/registry_keys and set

HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Wine -> Direct3D added DWRORD value MaxVersionGL with a hex value of 30002

Then install .NET 4 into the same bottle as Steam and the game will run.

I followed the instructions for the registry, installed .NET 4 successfully, however I'm still getting this error when I run Stardew Valley:

Edit: I got it working by installing Stardew Valley via CROSSOVER, which then ran without problems.

Not sure what you mean, you got it installed by using the crossover version. Do you mean you installed it using the crossover tierod file? Or do you mean, you purchased the game by another means, other than steam?

Any update on this? I'm having issues getting it to launch through steam, not sure what I'm missing. Getting that same error "No suitable graphics card found." Bit of background, I literally just installed crossover and Stardew is the first gameI installed through steam. Any help is appreciated

Hi Andrew,

This setting makes the game go bork on Linux. Could you make sure it gets applied only when installing on OS X?

Thanks for letting me know. I created another section of the installer profile to specify only Mac gets the registry key, none for Linux.
