First Impression on iMac

Dear users,

On my first try to install The Temple of Elemental Evil on my iMac (dec07, 2GHz Core2Duo, 2GB RAM, ATI HD2400, OSX 10.5.4) it installed fluently. After that the booting of the game didn't work because the game didn't recognize the Play CD being in the drive.

I will test a No-CD crack (legal for personal use if owning the original game) later today to verify if the game works when started up.

My regards,

Erwin

I try to forget to mention:

• It is installed in a single new winxp bottle.
• My iMac is 20" screensize.

It now boots with the v1.0 No-CD patch. It runs pretty smoothly, although when at the loading screen it just sticks at:

• Initializing sector data...

Also the game escapes full screen mode (possibly trying to adjust resolution but fails and falls out of full screen?).
Although it stays in a 800x600 like mode without X11 window controll.

Retried with windowed mode in the command line: "/Users/erwin/Library/Application Support/CrossOver Games/Bottles/TOEE_INST/drive_c/Program Files/Atari/Temple of Elemental Evil/ToEE.exe" -windowed
The game didn't do anything hanging at the same Initializing sector data... message as in full-screen startup. The game doesn't repsond to fn+alt+F4 (Alt-F4 on my BT Apple Keyboard) neither does the red closing X of X11 screen. The game also doesn't have an onw logo running in the dock. But when pressing CMD+Q it only quits the game and not CrossOver itself

Command results:
returned 5. StdOut: (empty field). StdErr: (emptyfield).

The logfile:

You might try it in other bottle types, or possibly just using winecfg to change the Windows version of the bottle.
