I would recommend that you make that registry setting specific to the game instead of affecting everything in the bottle. You do that by putting it into HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/AppDefaults/<whatever>.exe/DirectInput instead of HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/DirectInput.
True, we recommend and guide users to install each game into its own bottle, but the C4P should still be appropriate if they choose to install multiple things into one bottle.
