A Heavy eating a sandwich. Note the excellent cell shaders, textures, and effects.
TF2 action-shot on Kubuntu 9.10 x64. CXGames version: 20100505 nightly build; the best version I've seen so far. I have AA enabled, texture detail set to very high, everything else on high, and am running in DirectX 8.1 mode. Window size is CXGames-enforced 1911X1006. TF2 is in "Fullscreen" mode at that resolution. I'm getting 30-120FPS; extremely variable. Note: I'm running Compiz, and that -does- reduce my framerate; however, -I- don't get a noticeably better framerate with Kwin and compositing off. I also can't live without my Compiz multi-desktops, which CXGames handles without issues.
Me running the game with all the settings maxed (except Textures) in DX9 Mode. Early 2008 Macbook Pro 15". 20-30 fps (15 during big fights).
Playing TF2 in a window on Mac 10.6.2. I'm playing on a custom map downloaded from the server.

In Mac OS X 10.4.11 with CX Games 7.1.0, a chaotic battle occurs in Team Fortress 2. In the first person is myself, playing as a RED Medic, healing a Heavy firing down on incoming BLU foes, including a strange couple of Medics seen under the effects of an Übercharge.
