Audibles file MIME types are now supported in CX 6.2. How ever
downloading from Audable's site still does not work. This is not so
much a prolbme with CX as it is Audibles insainly complicated download
prossess. I was able to get this to work by creating an entry in the
KDE's file types list. I am sure there is a comparable option in GNOME.
1. I opened a new window in Konqueror
2. In the Help menu I selected "Configure Konqueror..."
3. Click on "File Associations" in the left frame
4. Click the "Add" button.
5. In the window that appears select "Audio" as the Group and enter Audible as the Type Name.
6. In the Filename Patterns area click "Add". Then add aw_dhelper.pl to
it. NOTE : You do not want to add *.pl here. That is the extension Perl
uses and could cause a conflict with Perl scripts on your PC.
7. Then under application order click Add. In the window that opens
paste the script below into the text field at the top. You may need to
logout and back in for this to take effect.
NOTE : You will need to replace "Audible_Win2k" with the name of the
bottle you installed CX in. Also if you installed CX in a differnt
location than the defualt you would need to replace
"/opt/cxoffice/bin/wine" with the path to the place you installed it.
After making these changes you should be able to click on
the aw_dhelper.pl files and the download help window should open and
down load the file(s).
NOTE : It seems to cause a problem with the downloads if you try more than one at a time.
