I was able to install the program on a Quicktime 7.5 bottle (using the supported bottle). Then I had to create a path inside the windows folder. (/home/~/.cxoffice/winxp/drive_c) c:\windows\security\templates
(I also created \security\Database and \security\logs just in case those were needed too.)
This allowed the program to install. It asks for an installation of windows media player that is included in the Avid package so I installed that too without issues.
The program however does not work as it throws a visual c++ runtime error immediately upon start up.
Avid Xpress Pro HD requires a FOB (a little usb device) to validate it in order to work. I believe that that may be where the problem lies. While I have the fob and it's plugged in, Avid may not be seeing it.
