After launching the game for the first time the cutscenes will not work properly but you don't have to set the DirectX version in order to play anymore.
1. ~/Documents/BFBC2/settings.ini Set SpeakerCount=2
2. MouseWarpOverride is still required. If you are unfamiliar with creating this key you can copy and paste the following into a text file and import it with regedit.
