Known issue: PDF-Export with ELSTER-Plugin causing issues - Feedback wanted
It has come to my attention that the ELSTER-Plugin doesn't seem to use a PDF-reader at least on Linux systems. I have contacted Codeweavers about this and pointed them to a patch which is supposed to solve the issue at least with Elster-Formular. I found the patch in the wine-Bugzilla which was there for about three years.
In the meantime Caron has written a CrossTie for this application which integrates the patch, downloads Easy Cash and Tax and installs it.
Unfortunately I have already sent my tax return for 2015 and don't have a VAT-registration so I can't test this throughly without disrupting our Inland Revenue or the documents that I have already stored there.
Feel free to give the CrossTie from Caron a try and please let us know if the ELSTER-Plugin and the PDF-Reader work for you.
