Installing EA/Indicators and Expert Advisors into MetaTrader 4 on Mac
Open CrossOver app.
Click the Bottles (3 small bottles) icon button in the top-left of the main CrossOver main window. This brings up the "CrossOver - All Bottles" menu window.
In this "CrossOver - All Bottles" menu window, you click on "Install A Windows Application" button at the bottom centre of the main menu.
Doing this brings you to the "CrossOver Software Installer" menu window. There are 4 tabs at the top of the menu window namely; "Select Application", "Select Installer", "Select Bottle" and "Install&Finish". Three of these are selectable except the last which is auto finished upon selection done.
1stly, select on the "Select Application" tab and proceed to select the "Browse All Application" button at the bottom left hand corner. This brings up the "Select An Application To Install" menu. Here, click on the "Unlisted Application" from the given selection and click continue.
Next brings you to a "Select An Installer Source" menu. Click on "Choose Installer File" and it prompts you to select where the file is located. Choose the relevant EA/Indicator's .exe file to be launched. Click on "Use This Installer" and click continue.
A new bottle name would be pre-assigned based on the file name that you chose (the .exe file) and it will next lead you to the "Install&Finish" tab so you can click on the Install button. HOWEVER..., if you want to rename the pre-assigned bottle name or have this new EA/Indicator file be located in the e.g. Oanda MT4 app bottle then click on top tab "Select Bottle" to edit your selection. Here, select the relevant bottle name from the list on the left. Once selected, click continue. It will lead you back to the "Install&Finish" section where you proceed to select "Install".
Follow all the simple instructions from here on and click ok for the e.g. Oanda MT4 app to auto launch (if you click on launch app after finish installing) with all the EA/Indicators automatically placed in the relevant folders.
Once in Oanda MT4 app, just proceed as per normal to add indicators into your charts. All should work smoothly.
