Normal.dot is Microsoft Word's global template. Sometimes this file
becomes corrupt and produces a variety of error messages about getting
saved and/or replaced. This problem most often occurs when Crossover is
upgraded. You can manually delete the Normal.dot file at
.cxoffice > (bottle name) > drive_c > windows > profiles
> crossover > Application Data > Microsoft > Templates
and then a new Normal.dot should be created the next time you exit Word.
