No Tip Title!

Rapidly Flashing "Getting Started" Window
NOTE: This problem only seems to occur in the Demo version of 5.0, not the full version.
If Quicken seems stuck with a flashing "Getting Started" window try this:
  • give it a minute or two -- most of the time it stops on its own and allows you to continue. If not, kill the application and try again until it does stop flashing
  • After the window stops flashing...
  • Choose 'Restore Backup File' and load your data from your windows share, or
  • Proceed to go through setting up a new account. After this the Getting Started window won't appear
If possible, try a different window manager - that may help as well. And finally, reinstalling CrossOver and/or Quicken sometimes solves that problem. It is intermittent and therefore very difficult to track down -- these items are just suggestions, not proven solutions.
