Note: These fixes do not seem to work in CX 13.1.0
Note2: As for CX 14.0.0 this is no longer required.
As of CX 13.0.0 (and into 13.0.1), there is an issue where Steam keeps trying to install DirectX, but fails to do so, everytime that you try to lauch S2:G. There are two work arounds.
1, atributed to
Stefan Dösinger) Delete C:\windows\system32\xinput_*.dll in the bottle.
2, atributed to
Silviu Cojocaru) You need to use Regedit to add a dword with value 1 named "directx" in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Valve\Steam\Apps\225640.
I have confirmed that both of these fixes work. Also, know that this does not currently effect Gamer's Gate version of the game.
