In order to start the game, you must set windows comptatibility to win vista.
To do that, start crossover then click on configure > manage bottle. Choose the bottle in which Sam & Max is installed, click on control panel, and launch WineCFG. In the window of winecfg, you chan choose the version of windows, select Windows Vista and click on OK.
The first time, you will launch the game, it will not launch and crash. But it works the second time.
