as with any tool that does not have an installer, simply unrar the program to a newly created folder, I recommend doing so with a sonic1 or sonic2 disassembly in a new folder called soned2, then just launch it directly and good luck on your cool new sonic level :-)
hint: use either the asl version of the sonic1 hivebrain disassembly or the xenowhirl sonic2 disassembly 2007 which also uses asw/asl thus allowing roms to compile on linux or mac. as for playing the hacks, use gens/gs.
