In order to play the Steam version of the game, the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable" package must be installed.
This is not added to the bottle by default when installing Steam through the Crossover Installation Wizard, but can be easily installed afterwards by checking the "Show all service packs and dependencies" box on the wizard dialog, and then selecting it from the list.
