I have just installed Office 2013 on Ubuntu 16.04 using CrossOver Linux 18.1.0. During the installation an error message for FIRSTRUN.exe popped up, however, it did not seem to have any negative impact. Otherwise the installation completed smoothly without any further error messages.
Now when I'm trying to open Excel or Word the corresponding window comes up until you have to choose between opening a template or a recent file but then the application freezes. Even worse, Ubuntu completely freezes, too. I can't even log into a tty by pressing CTRL+ALT+Fx so that I have to push the reset button on my computer.
Any suggestions where to best start the root cause analysis?
