If you've not tried PictureCode's PhotoNinja to process RAW images, you're in for a surprise.
Others will corroborate what I have to say: it's probably impossible to find a better RAW editor.
I've compared against DXO a year ago. No comparison.
The open source applications, Darktable, and RawTherapee, though excellent, cannot produce images of the same quality as Photoninja.
Install it in a Windows 8 bottle in Crossover 18.5.. It runs flawlessly in Linux Manjaro 18.1.4. Obviously well designed code.
